PANA Holdings Celebrated at NOG Energy Week 2024

The recently concluded NOG Energy Week 2024 was a remarkable event, bringing together key industry players, government officials, and experts from around the world to discuss the future of the energy sector. Held at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, Nigeria, the 23rd annual edition of this prestigious event was nothing short of transformative. PANA Holdings and its subsidiaries were not only present but also played significant roles in various sessions, showcasing our commitment to driving innovation and sustainable energy solutions.

One of the highlights of the first day was the panel discussion titled “R&D and Technology as an Enabler for Local Content.” Our Group CEO, Daere Akobo, F.CIoD, F.IMC, CMC, was a distinguished panelist where he provided insightful comments relating to:

1. Unlocking Opportunities for Indigenous Companies through Technology Adoption: The panel explored how local companies could leverage advanced technologies to enhance their capabilities and competitiveness in the global market.

2. Automating Processes to Create Synergy Amongst Regulatory Bodies: Discussions highlighted the importance of process automation in fostering collaboration and efficiency among regulatory agencies.

3. Opportunities in Deepwater Projects for Local Companies: Panelists examined the technology, knowledge, and funding requirements necessary for indigenous firms to participate in deepwater projects.

4. Encouraging Domiciliation of OEMs: The panel addressed the enabling factors that could attract Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to establish operations locally, with a focus on the government’s role in this initiative.

5. Research and Untapped Opportunities: The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) shared insights from their research, identifying untapped opportunities for increased in-country development.

NOG Energy Week was also marked by a significant recognition on PANA Holdings. These meetings focused on exploring collaborative opportunities to deliver cutting-edge solutions in automation and value engineering across Africa.
